Jens Andersen

Jens Andersen was born in 1672 and was christened in the church of Hornborg on May 27, 1672. He was the son of Anders Terkelsen and Dorthe Jensdattter. He was also called Jens Andersen “Bisgaard.”  The name Bisgaard actually came from his wife, who was born on the manor named Tamdrup Bisgaard. The name Bisgaard was continued by his children Thomas Jensen Bisgaard, Anders Jensen Bisgaard (born 12/9/1714, died after 1786) and Anne Jensdatter Bisgaard (born 3/19/1719, died 5/30/1769).
Jens Andersen Bisgaard was married to Inger Elsebeth Thomasdatter in the church of Tamdrup on November 26, 1699.
He was a freeholder and lived in Kalhave in the parish of Hornborg. In 1718 he handed over the farm to his eldest son Thomas Jensen Bisgaard.  You can find this document in the record of copyholders from the manor of Rask in Hvirring.
Jens Andersen Bisgaard died in 1745 and was buried in the churchyard of Hornborg on October 24, 1745.
