It is believed
that Peder Thomsen was born on a farm named Vintendal in the parish of Tamdrup.
Tamdrup is situated northwest of the provincial town of Horsens. His father was
Thomas Mikkelsen Dal.
We do not know when he got his big freeholder farm Vintenlund, but from
documents we know that he was the owner in 1604. His son
Thomas Pedersen was born
around 1721.
Peder Thomsen Dal is believed to have
died in 1636.
