Maren Juelsdatter

Maren Juelsdatter was born sometime around 1666. On March 3, 1695 she married Jens Væver[1], who was an elderly man. He died a few months after their wedding and was buried in the churchyard of As on May 31, 1695.  He was 73 years old.
Maren Juelsdatter married again on December 1, 1695. That was the same year as her first husband had died. Hans Kusk was not a young man either, he was around fifty-seven years old.  They had five children: Jens Hansen Kusk (christened 6/14/1696), Karen Hansdatter (christened 3/19/1699), Juell Hansen (christened 2/26/1702), Hans Hansen (christened 1/25/1705, buried 3/27/1705) and Soren Hansen (christened 6/27/1706, buried 5/25/1710).
Hans Kusk died in August 1707.  Maren Juelsdatter married for the third time on New Year’s Day 1709 to Jorgen Lausen Dam. Look at his copyhold document

They had a daughter Anne (christened 12/1/1709).  She died and was buried on a Sunday, just 10 days after her christening. They also had a stillborn child (buried 11/1/1711).
Maren Juelsdatter lived until 1741.  She was buried on October 17, 1741. The parish register of As for the year 1741 tells us that “On October 17, Juel Hansen’s mother from Overby was buried, at the age of 76”.
It is believed, that Anne Juels in Hosby, who was buried on April 21, 1709, was the mother of Maren Juelsdatter.
