Karen Monsdatter

Karen Monsdatter or Mogensdatter of Klakring had a child in 1729 with Jorgen Stougaard. It was a girl, whom she named Maren in the church of Klakring on June 19, 1729. Karen Monsdatter as well as Jorgen Stougaard had to confess in the church on November 13, the same year for having an illegitimate child. Their child died as a baby and was buried on April 2, 1730.
Karen Monsdatter had another illegitimate child.  She named him Jorgen Mortensen Fynboe.  He was christened in the church of Klakring on a holy day of prayer in October 1733.  She had to confess in the church on July 26, 1733 that Niels Bechling’s son Morten Nielsen Bechling was the father of her child.  Her further destiny is unknown, but we know that she did not marry Morten Nielsen Bechling.
