Jorgen Hansen Pors

Jorgen Hansen was born in Lindved in the parish of Raarup about 1734. The parish register from Raarup only exists from 1751, so we are not able to find the exact date.
In October 1757 he was given copyhold to a home in Lindved, where his father lived. His father was now old and weak.
Jorgen Hansen, who was also known as Jorgen Hansen Pors married Dorthe Rasmusdatter on October 19, 1776 in the church of Raarup. They only had a few years together because he died five years later and was buried in the churchyard of Raarup on April 29, 1781.
Jorgen Hansen had a humble home. The two items that their only daughter Johanne Marie Jorgensdatter (born 1777) inherited from her father were a trough and a chest.
