Jacob Glaso

A tradition in the Glassau family says that the founder of the family was an immigrated German gardener who married Birgitte Pedersdatter, who was the daughter of the owner of Brandstub. Maybe the name Glassau or Glaso indicate that Jacob Glaso came from the area around the manor of Glasau in Schleswig-Holstein At least the name Glaso or Glassau is not a Danish name.  Nor is the name of his son Friederich.Jacobsen Glaso.
Jacob Glaso died before 1688.
In the Glud Museum you can see a table and a chair that are kept from the old Glaso-family on Brandstub. The name of the farm is carved in the back of the chair.
