Dorthe Rasmusdatter Krage

Dorthe Rasmusdatter was probably born into the parish of Raarup about 1734. The parish register from Raarup only exists from 1751, so we are not able to find the exact date. Her parents were Rasmus Thomsen Krage and Johanne Jespersdatter, and she was named after her paternal grandmother, Dorthe Knudsdatter from the parish of  Uth.
Among other things, she was servant to Raarup parish priest before she married Jorgen Hansen Pors in the church of Raarup on October 19, 1776.
They had one daughter Johanne Marie Jorgensdatter (christened 3/9/1777). After Jorgen’s death in April 1781 she married Niels Andersen from Skaevlund. On July 5, of the same year, he took over the copyhold of the house in Lindved, where she lived. The census paper from 1801 tells us, that their eighteen-year-old daughter, Maren Nielsdatter lived with her parents. Dorthe Rasmusdatter survived her second husband.  She lived her last years with Jens Jorgen Andersen in Lindved, who was a weaver. She died on September 14, 1835 and was buried in the churchyard of Raarup on September 18, 1835.
