Anders Terkelsen

Anders Terkelsen was born in Kalhave in the parish of Hornborg sometime around 1630. He died in the same place in 1681 and was buried on April 29. His father was Terkel Sorensen. He married Dorthe Jensdatter sometime before 1660, and she died in 1714. Dorthe Jensdatter survived her husband for 33 years.
Anders Terkelsen was the copyholder of the annex farm belonging to the parish priest.  Perhaps that is why the priest wrote a few more words than usual about Anders Terkelsen. He was buried in the churchyard of Hornborg and the Priest wrote the following: “On April 29, 1681 buried in Hornborg Anders Terkelsen from my annex farm in Kalhave. He was a good and honest and loyal Danish man, in what he said as well as in what he did. His age was 51.”
